      I never found it to hurt. However, if it’s bothering you, you could put a hip thrust pad or any other type of foam pad between you and the belt (I’ve seen some people who are moving a lot of weight do that).

    Great video as always. Does the footplates raise the machine a bit? I have the same machine and the middle flat plate doesn’t touch the ground as the holes for the middle plate are raised a bit. • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews 15 днів тому

      Thank you. It raises the machine ever so slightly (like a fraction of an inch). My middle plate was slightly raised before the footplate and it is still slightly raised. However, it is not raised so much that the bench doesn’t roll over it. If I disassembled the footplate and made an adjustment, I could probably get it lower. A few years ago, I removed the footplate, but out of an abundance of caution, I bolted it back on. It really depends on the exercises you’re doing and if the bench is attached. If you’re doing a lot of squats, Viking presses, etc., it may be wise to leave. If the bench is always connected, I personally don’t think it’s necessary.

    For the legs I see that you added one more set. Originally DC 3 day split you should do 1 heavy set 4 - 8 reps + 1 widowmaker set (20+).the end.

      @@luka2pac I didn’t add the second work set until my second or third year doing DC. I started DC in 2006 and did it for many years. When I made this video series a few years ago, it had been a while since I had done DC and I found out in my 40s, I just can’t recover from DC Training the way I did when I was in my 20s or 30s. So, I definitely hear what you’re saying about an extra set being too much to recover from.

    These are the best for me because they go up to 40kg that is more than enough. The problem is that they want 200 dollars for shipping in EU plus the customs fee. They should have a retailer in Europe as well. You americans have so many options

      @@HomeGymHacksandReviews to be honest the ironmaster aren't really the quick adjustable like nuobell or Bowflex, they are just normal adjustable which I have dumbbells like these . I bought the Bowflex 1090 which are heavy enough to complement my barbell compounds

    Do they sell the leverage part minus the bench?.. that would be sweet

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews 18 днів тому

      No. The Levergym has a detachable bench, but even then, the machine is not sold separate of the bench. The bench’s horizontal function is helpful for getting the correct position for a lot of exercises.

    Hi mate, I almost purchased the leg press attachment but came across a chanel called hybrid resistance who didn't talk as highly of the attachment as you. Now I'm confused lol.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews 20 днів тому

      Conflicting reports certainly makes purchases more difficult. I had the attachment for a while and spent a lot of time testing it and finding the settings that work best for me. Among all of Powertec’s leg machines, I ranked it the lowest, although that doesn’t mean that it’s not good. I like it and not every machine or attachment is going to work as well for everyone. I will say, if I didn’t find value in the Leg Press attachment, I wouldn’t have it in my gym.

      @@tonygillespie6907 if you operate a gym, a stand-alone machine will be a better option. I think the attachment is best suited for home gym use. Further, if you can keep the attachment connected full-time, it’s an extra bonus. My wife and I both use it once a week and even with her knee and hip repair surgeries, she finds a lot of value in the LPA. Further, it doesn’t create any undo pain unlike some other exercises, including lunges.
